Biometrics Detection captures and registers user biometric data so you can use it for secure authentication later. You add it to your Trust Flow and configure it in the product Settings panel.

How it works

Processes

When you set up this product, you choose which processes apply. Typical options include:
  • Biometric enrollment — Records the user’s biometric sample so the system can recognize them on later sign-ins or checks.
  • Username binding — Associates the enrolled biometric with a username or account identifier in your flow.
These appear as selectable processes when you configure Biometrics Detection in the portal.

Inputs

The capture you collect from the end user is:
  • Biometric selfie — A live face capture (or equivalent biometric capture your flow specifies) used to enroll and bind the user.
Good lighting and a clear, unobstructed face help enrollment quality and reduce retries.

Tool settings

Open the Tool settings section in the product settings modal to adjust behaviour for Biometrics Detection. Use the information icons beside each control for field-level help.

Detection options

SettingPurpose
Enable Blacklist DetectionWhen enabled, runs blacklist checks during this step so enrollments that match your block rules can be stopped or flagged according to your Trust Flow configuration.
The options available to you reflect what is enabled for your account—so you may not see every option, and labels can differ slightly. If anything is missing or you need guidance, contact IDmeta support.
