# AUS UBO

> Identify Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) for Australian company structures.

This step helps identify the **Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO)** of an Australian company as part of your KYB flow.

## How it works

UBO checks typically use company registry information to derive beneficial ownership relationships.

## Tool settings

Open **Tool settings** in the product settings modal.

### Threshold

Set a numeric cutoff used to decide whether an ownership link is considered strong enough to treat as relevant in the UBO determination (for example **25**).

### Layers

Set the depth of ownership traversal (how many levels of ownership the system follows) when building the ownership structure (for example **10**).
