# NBI Verification

> Verify Philippine NBI clearance status against official records.

The **PH NBI** data source helps you verify Philippine NBI clearance status against official records as part of your verification flow.

## How it works

### Processes

* **NBI Clearance Verification** — Confirms the clearance details using available NBI records.

### Inputs

* **Document Number** — The clearance or reference number used for lookup.
* **Date Of Birth** — Used together with the name/number to improve match accuracy.
* **First Name** — The person’s given name.
* **Last Name** — The person’s surname.

## Tool settings

Open **Tool settings** in the product settings modal. You may see options that are enabled for your account.

### Verification settings

| Setting                  | Purpose                                                                              |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Perform Face Compare** | When enabled, compares the biometric selfie with the face content used by your flow. |

If **Perform Face Compare** is enabled, you can set thresholds for similarity scoring:

| Setting                                                     | Example | Purpose                                                            |
| ----------------------------------------------------------- | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Face Compare is Verified when similarity score is above** | **70**  | At or above this value, the comparison can be treated as verified. |
| **Face Compare is Rejected when similarity score is below** | **20**  | Below this value, the comparison can be treated as rejected.       |
