# Passport Verification

> Verify Australian passport details with government databases.

The **AU Passport** data source helps you verify Australian passport details using government databases as part of your verification flow.

## How it works

### Processes

* **Australian Passport Validation** — Validates the passport details using the inputs you collect in your Trust Flow.

### Inputs

* **Family Name** — Your flow captures the passport holder’s surname.
* **Given Name** — Your flow captures the passport holder’s given (first) name.
* **Date of Birth** — Used to match the correct passport record.
* **Gender** — Used as an additional attribute for matching.
* **Travel Document Number** — The passport/travel document number used for lookup.
