# Birth Certificate Verification

> Verify Australian birth certificates against registry data.

The **AU Birth Certificate** data source verifies Australian birth certificates using registry data as part of your verification flow.

## How it works

### Processes

* **Birth Certificate Verification** — Validates the birth certificate details using the inputs you collect in your Trust Flow.

### Inputs

* **Family Name** — The child’s family (surname).
* **Given Name** — The child’s given (first) name.
* **Date of Birth** — Used to match the correct birth record.
* **Registration Number** — The birth record registration number.
* **Registration State** — The state/territory where the record was registered.
* **Registration Date** — The date the record was registered.
* **Registration Year** — The year the record was registered.
* **Certificate Number** — The certificate identifier.
* **Date Printed** — The printed/issued date shown on the certificate.
