# Kiosk App

> Run IDmeta Trust Flows on a dedicated Android device without embedding the Mobile SDK in your own app.

IDmeta Kiosk is a ready-made Android app for in-person verification at a branch, desk, or event. Use it when you do not want to build a host app. It is Android only, distributed as an APK. Results stay in the IDmeta Dashboard and [webhooks](https://docs.idmetagroup.com/developer-tools/webhooks). To embed the same capture UI in your own Flutter app, use the [Mobile SDK](https://docs.idmetagroup.com/developer-tools/mobile-sdk).

Sign in, choose a Trust Flow, then complete verification on the device.

## How to get access

The Kiosk app is an Android APK. It is not a public download.

1. Contact IDmeta Support and request the IDmeta Kiosk APK. Include your company name and a contact person so Support can confirm the account.
2. Install the APK they send you. If the device blocks the install, allow **Install unknown apps** for the app you used to open the file.

Then sign in as described below.

## Using the app

1. Open **IDmeta Kiosk**.
2. Sign in with email and password.
3. If prompted, paste the user API token from **Profile > API Tokens**. See [App tokens](https://docs.idmetagroup.com/developer-tools/app-tokens.md).
4. Search for a [Trust Flow](https://docs.idmetagroup.com/trust-flows/creating-a-trust-flow.md) and tap it.
5. Confirm, optionally add metadata, then start. Metadata is returned on webhooks.
6. Complete the flow on the device.
7. Review results in the Dashboard or via webhook.

Sessions last 12 hours. After that, sign in again.

## Requirements

| Item | Requirement |
| - | - |
| Platform | Android 7.0 (API 24) or later |
| Device | Camera and internet. Location if the Trust Flow includes a location step. |
| Account | IDmeta user that can run Trust Flows |
| Session | 12 hours |

## Troubleshooting

* **Cannot install the APK** — allow install from that source, or the device is below Android 7.0.
* **Login failed** — check the user credentials or API token.
* **No Trust Flows** — the signed-in user may lack permission. See [User roles](https://docs.idmetagroup.com/faq/user-roles-permissions.md).
* **Camera is black or blocked** — grant camera (and location if asked).
* **Liveness failed** — check camera access, lighting, and that the device is online.

If you are still stuck, contact IDmeta Support.
